Please ensure that all forms are complete, and that all required supporting documentation and fees are present as per the instructions included with the visa application package. Refer to the Visa Application Checklist below as a guide for preparing your visa application forms. The embassy reserves the right to return or delay any incomplete visa applications that do not fulfill all the requirements.

Completed visa application forms may be delivered to the embassy in person or by courier only. Courier delivery must include a pre-paid return envelope with its own account number. Do not send visa applications by regular mail. Remember to keep the tracking number of your envelopes. Visa applications require a minimum of 5 business days for processing upon receipt.

Please note that first entry must take place within 90 days of the date of issue. After entry, the visa allows a stay of 90 days.

Visa Fees

Kindly note that the costs of the various services rendered by the consular section of this Embassy have changed since September 1st, 2010.

The cost of a one entry Visa is now US$65 and a multi entry Visa is now $100. For any other consular services such as authentication of documents, etc.

kindly contact the Embassy of Paraguay in Ottawa at 613 567 1283 from Monday thru Friday and from 930 am to noon and from 130 pm to 4 pm. Please note that we only accept Money Orders or Bank drafts in US currency and payable to Embassy of Paraguay.

Visa Application Checklist

A. Each applicant (including Canadian citizens) must present:

Two signed visa application forms. Visa application forms may be obtained directly from the embassy or downloaded here: Visa Application Form (PDF).

Passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months from the visa application date. Please submit two copies of pages 2 and 3.

Two recent passport-size photos.

Two copies of the air ticket to Paraguay, or an official letter from the travel agency. (one letter per applicant.)

Proof of financial good standing. One original and one copy of a bank letter and/or last bank statement. A company letter is required in the case of a business trip. Each applicant must present separate documents.

At least five (5) working days are required for visa application processing.

B. Legal residents with non-Canadian passports must present:

Proof of legal residence in Canada.

C. Tourists with non-Canadian passports:

All required documentation previously stated in A.

Proof of legal entry into Canada.
